I keep it at my family's summer lake place, about 30 miles north of Brainerd, Minnesota.
(I'm located in Minneapolis, 3 hours south of there.)

Here's more about my wonderful, classic Airstream:

I was lucky enough to acquire this special Airstream in March 2004,
after much searching across many states to find just the right unit.
I bought it from a very loving, caring couple who were real Airstream
afficianados, located in rural Michigan, near Grand Rapids. This particular
unit was built at the California plant (as can be determined from its
serial number), and it is still in remarkable original condition.

As the top-of-the-line model, the "International" included several
extras. These included the obvious striping on the exterior, with
the namplate and flag medallion on each side. I've also been told the
tailights were a special style for this particular year -- at least
for units built at the California plant.

Other extras with the International included special interior
packages and color appliances, a "solardome," two electric ceiling vent
fans, built-in AM and FM stereo radio (that latter with an 8-track tape
player), an interior gas light, additional 110v and 12v outlets, and special
exterior radio and TV antennas. I'm also told different wood finishes
were offered for the International model, compared to the regular
Land Yacht, and that this model even came with special matching
sheets and bedspreads (although those are long gone now).

The highlight of this particular unit for me is the interior,
with its aqua Magic Chef range and specially decorated all-aqua bathroom.
The upholstery is original and in excellent shape, and the curtains and
carpeting were replaced by the previous owners to as close to original as
possible, as has the bathroom linoleum. The interior wood finish is
also original...a mahogany-like color, darker than what I've
seen in other Airstream models from this era.

The awning on the unit is the original (gold & white striped),
and is still in good shape. I've spent hundreds of hours caring for and
maintaining this Airstream, including polishing the exterior to bring
it back close to its original, mirror-like finish.

I just hate to sell this beauty, but we simply can't use it
enough anymore -- it's time for a new owner to enjoy it!
Someone's going to get a very special classic Airstream.
