Earlier Conference Coverage
(archived from the GT&A home page)

On a round of conference coverage in late 1999, we took in
two great events in the Bay Area, both of which were sold out:

The 1999 Personalization Summit was first annual high-level event focusing on the
technical, marketing, and business aspects of personalization technologies. It featured
top speakers and all the major vendors in this space. Our coverage was posted at the
Personalization.com site ..... which you should check out -- it features the latest
articles and resources, news about upcoming Personalization Summits, and you
can sign up for a free email list to get regular updates on personalization.

We also caught part of this excellent B-to-B e-commerce event...

A couple of weeks prior to the above conferences,
we were in Southern California, where we covered the very hot...

To get the lowdown, see our reports:

NDA '99 Report #1: "Baja, Buzz, and Blues - Somebody Pinch Me"
NDA '99 Report #2: "The Future of E-Retailing"
NDA '99 Report #3: "The Future of Venture Capital"

We also had a report published on NDA '99 soon after the event at Conferenza.com
(requires a 30-day free registration)...which should still be available in their archives

In September 1999, we took in a very excellent
first-year event in Aspen sponsored by The Industry Standard...

Our four insider email reports are now
available in our archives here on the site:
"Letter From Dot-Com Camp"
"Themes & Schemes at 8000 Feet"
"So Who Then Will Manage the Wealth?"
"Rocky Mountain Redux: Mining the Knowledge Nuggets"

In August 1999, we covered...

Here are three of our insider reports on that event:
Report #1: "Tech & Tinsel Town Tango at 'Herring on Hollywood'"
Report #2: "LA Entrepreneurs Do Workshop...Then Party Big"
Report #3: "MP3 Is Better Than Sex...And Other Facts of Life"

Here's a conference report we sent to our list last summer
covering the 22nd Annual Piper Jaffray Growth Conference -- specifically
14 great technology company presentations, held on June 14-15, 1999 in Minneapolis.

We also covered the second "eRetailing '99"
conference, held in San Francisco, May 1999. Here are
the reports that went to our email list on this one:

Report #1: "Quick-Take Overview: eRetailing '99" (5/20/99)
Report #2: "Stewart Alsop on eRetailing" (5/23/99)
Report #3: "A Sunday Smorgasborg of eRetailing Insights" (6/1/99)
Report #4: "Execs Survey Online Retailing Landscape" (6/6/99)

We also covered a very busy 'Spring Internet World' in LA in April 1999,
where we met with many contacts and clients, old and new.

A conference report from November 1998:  "My Excellent 'NDA' Adventure!"
(a recap of Red Herring's first annual such conference in LaJolla, CA -- photos, too!)

Our attendance at 'Fall Internet World' in New York City in October 1998 resulted
in several insider reports to our list, now in our archives -- actually, they cover a whole
week's worth of three events, including our coverage of eRetailing '98, the WSJ Tech Summit,
an exclusive one-on-one interview with CEO Mark Kvamme of CKS, and more...
