Minneapolis is the #6 Most-Wired City!....
Yahoo! says so!
The unemployment rate in Minnesota
fell to an all-time low of 2.1% in August 1998.
(In the Twin Cities, it's estimated to be less than 1.7%.)
This is the ninth consecutive month the state's rate has
been below 3%. Nationally, August's rate was 4.5%.
A January '98 Manpower survey said the strongest
region for hiring in the April-June quarter would be the Midwest,
where 34% of companies planned to add staff. Meanwhile, in
Minnesota, the figure was an even-higher 38%!
Of the 50 states, Minnesota had the
highest percent increase in average annual pay
between 1995 and 1996, at 5.5% (tied with Delaware).
New York was second with 5.4%. Washington and
Colorado were tied for third place at 5.2%.
