(1) Client input/strategy session & backgrounding:
One to two-hour meeting or teleconference,
plus subsequent background reading or study
of client's market or industry
(2) Initial naming recommendations:
Including a review of client's objectives and
needs, an assessment of their current situation,
any general recommendation for an overall
naming philosophy, theme, or system, and a
discussion of key words, concepts, etc
(3) Creative development:
Our naming experts develop an initial list of
name ideas, based on the client's specific
marketing objectives, strategy, market position,
growth plans, etc
(4) Presentation of name ideas and distillation to "short list":
Meet with client to discuss initial name list, then cull it
down to a list of favorite candidate names, usually 3-5.
(5) Preliminary legal searching, in conjunction with a specialist law firm:
To determine the availability of the candidate name(s)
in the applicable product/service categories. More
exhaustive searching is undertaken later (including
actual trademark registration), once the final name is
chosen, the extent of which can vary widely, depending
on circumstances, number of countries, etc.
(6) Prepare for and present final name recommendations:
Showing potential usage or graphic treatment
in 2-3 applications.
